In a pre-recorded message for Channel 4's 'Stand Up To Cancer' campaign, King Charles stated, "Thanks to early diagnosis, effective intervention, and following medical advice, my cancer treatment schedule will be reduced in the new year," adding that "this is a personal blessing."

The King publicly disclosed his diagnosis of an unspecified form of cancer in February 2024. Since then, he has maintained an active schedule of official duties, including overseas tours, while undergoing treatment.

In this message, King Charles particularly emphasized the importance of early cancer screening. He pointed out that "9 million people in the UK are missing screening opportunities that could dramatically improve survival rates."
