Three representative Korean actors come together in a spy drama

Lee Byung-hun, Han Ji-min, and Lee Hee-jun join the new drama 'The Koreans'. According to related industry reports, this work is a spy drama that is a Korean reinterpretation of the American drama 'The Americans'.

'The Koreans' is set in a middle-class apartment complex in Seoul in the 1990s, and weaves themes of faith, love, and life with the tension unique to the spy genre. Director Ahn Gil-ho of 'The Glory' will direct, and writer Park Eun-kyo of 'Made in Korea' will write the screenplay.

Character lineup and roles

Lee Byung-hun plays Kim Myeong-jun, an elite North Korean spy who has been living in South Korea while hiding his identity for over 10 years. It is expected to delicately unfold the character's complex inner self and vast narrative.

Han Ji-min plays Yun Hwa-kyung, a North Korean spy who settled in South Korea as Kim Myeong-jun's disguised wife. The character's internal journey will be expressed through unique, delicate emotional acting.

Lee Hee-jun, a former homicide detective, was cast as Ki-seok Ki, a detective who moves in next door to Kim Myeong-jun and Yoon Hwa-kyung. Its role is to add tension to the relationship between the two main characters.
