Oh Jung Se has unveiled his first stills as Bong Je Soon, an amnesiac North Korean special agent, in MBC's upcoming drama 'Fifties Professionals,' premiering May 22 at 9:50 p.m. KST. The newly released images draw immediate attention through their stark contrast between the character's past and present.

A Human Weapon Washed Ashore

Bong Je Soon was once known as one of North Korea's most lethal operatives—a master of taekkyeon and undercover infiltration, referred to internally as a 'human weapon.' During a mission to recover stolen classified documents and illicit funds, he falls into the sea and washes ashore on the remote island of Yeongseon, cut off from everything he once knew.

In stills from his past as agent 'Bulgae,' Bong Je Soon exudes a cold, emotionless intensity. His piercing gaze and controlled composure hint at a man who has survived the unsurvivable. In sharp contrast, present-day Bong Je Soon—stripped of his memories—shuffles through mundane office tasks: fixing broken copiers, polishing his boss's car, and offering timid smiles to those around him.

Three Dangerous Men, One Forgotten Island

'Fifties Professionals' is an action-comedy following three middle-aged men who once stood at the top of their respective fields, only to be exiled to Yeongseon Island after a mysterious incident. Brought back together by fate, they embark on a comedic yet poignant quest to uncover the truth about the fateful day 10 years ago that upended their lives.

Oh Jung Se stars alongside Shin Ha Kyun and Heo Sung Tae. The trio already demonstrated strong chemistry at a script reading held earlier this month. Oh Jung Se returns to screens immediately after his recent drama 'Climax,' taking on a genre and character that couldn't be more different.
