The Indian spy action film 'Dhurandhar 2', starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun, has taken the global box office by storm, grossing ₹275 crore (approximately $30 million) within just two days of its release.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film earned ₹104.6 crore (around $11.5 million) on its opening day, followed by a net collection of ₹96.76 crore (approximately $10.65 million) on day two, maintaining the audience's enthusiastic response.

Eid Holiday Fuels Box Office Success

Behind the film's explosive performance lies the Eid al-Fitr holiday advantage. Released simultaneously across 20,125 screens throughout India, 'Dhurandhar 2' exceeded initial projections on both Saturday and Sunday.

The response from Hindi-speaking markets has been particularly overwhelming. According to box office tracking site Sacnilk, audience occupancy exceeded 63%, with most theaters reporting sold-out shows. Domestic collections alone are estimated at ₹260 crore (approximately $28.6 million).

Weekend Target: ₹500 Crore Breakthrough

Industry experts predict that 'Dhurandhar 2' will generate over ₹100 crore (approximately $11 million) each on Saturday and Sunday, projecting a total domestic net collection of ₹450-500 crore (approximately $49.5-55 million) for the extended opening weekend (Thursday through Sunday).

This is expected to become one of the largest opening weekend performances in Indian cinema history. Ranveer Singh's powerful performance and gripping action sequences have generated strong word-of-mouth, suggesting the film will maintain high audience turnout even on weekdays.

Southern Markets Hold Key to Further Success

While current box office performance has been primarily driven by Hindi-speaking regions, the film's performance in southern Indian markets will be a crucial variable for continued success. However, if the Eid holiday advantage and strong word-of-mouth persist, the film has strong potential to establish itself as a nationwide mega-hit.
