SNK's Premier Fighting Game Tournament Comes to Atlanta

SNK has announced that the SNK World Championship (SWC) 2025 will be held at DreamHack Atlanta in Georgia, USA. The tournament will run for three days from October 31 to November 2, with registration currently open.

The SNK World Championship is the official esports tournament to determine the world's strongest SNK fighting game players. It operates through a system where regional qualifiers are held worldwide, with finalists converging in the United States for the ultimate showdown.

Four Titles with $4.1M Total Prize Pool

This year's tournament features four games:

1. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves - 32 main event slots
2. The King of Fighters XV - 32 main event slots
3. Samurai Shodown - 16 main event slots
4. Art of Fighting 3 - Open tournament

The total prize pool reaches $4.1 million (approximately 4.1 billion won), including both qualifier and main event prizes. Of this amount, the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves champion alone will receive $1.5 million (approximately 1.5 billion won).

Prize distribution by title:

• Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves - $1.5M
• The King of Fighters XV - $500K
• Samurai Shodown - $250K
• Art of Fighting 3 - $50K

Last Chance Qualifier Offers Path to Main Event

For players who haven't secured main event slots, a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will be available. LCQ registration is currently open, and participants must purchase both DreamHack Atlanta admission and an LCQ ticket to compete.

Main event slots available through LCQ:

• Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves - 2 slots
• The King of Fighters XV - 1 slot
• Samurai Shodown - 4 slots

Art of Fighting 3 operates as an open tournament, allowing on-site participation without pre-qualification.

Ultimate Showdown of Four Champions

SWC 2025 will conclude with a special event match where the four title winners compete to determine the SNK Fighting Game Champion. This match will be conducted as an exhibition event.
