Xbox Offers Four Free Games This Weekend

Xbox launched its latest Free Play Days event, offering four titles at no cost this weekend. The lineup includes the underwater survival game Subnautica and the indie management sim Graveyard Keeper, drawing significant player interest.

Game-by-Game Breakdown

Subnautica is available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members from April 9 to 12. Developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, the game tasks players with surviving on an ocean planet—collecting resources, building underwater bases, and exploring alien depths. It is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and supports Smart Delivery. During the event, it is discounted from $29.99 to $14.99.

ONE PIECE: PIRATE WARRIORS 4 and Project Motor Racing are part of the Free Play Days For All program, open to all Xbox members without a membership requirement. Bandai Namco's ONE PIECE title is discounted to $9.99 (from $39.99), while GIANTS Software's Project Motor Racing is available at $38.49 (from $69.99). The latter recently received its most substantial update since launch—Update 2.0—featuring a redesigned UI, improved driving feel, and an enhanced Career Mode.

Graveyard Keeper stands out as a free-to-keep title. tinyBuild's medieval cemetery management sim can be claimed for permanent ownership from April 9 at 9am PT through April 13 at 10am PT.

How to Claim

Players can access the games via Xbox.com or through the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Gamerscore and achievements earned during free play events carry over upon purchase.

Microsoft's Free Play Strategy

Microsoft runs Free Play Days regularly as part of its Game Pass ecosystem growth strategy. The inclusion of For All titles—accessible without a membership—signals an ongoing effort to attract new users to the Xbox platform.
