Magna AI and TechnoVal Invest $300M to Transform Middle East AI Industry
Establishing Saudi AI Data Center, Integrating AI into SAP Systems for Manufacturing, Logistics, and Public Sector Intelligence

- •Magna AI and TechnoVal have formed a $300 million strategic alliance to drive AI-based industrial transformation across the Middle East and Africa regions.
- •They will establish sovereign AI data centers in Saudi Arabia and integrate AI into SAP systems to intelligentize manufacturing, logistics, and public sectors.
- •They plan to transform HSA and OMACO Groups into the world's first AI-based industrial benchmarks and expand into finance, energy, healthcare, and other sectors.
Middle East's Largest AI Industrialization Project Begins
Magna AI and TechnoVal have announced a strategic alliance worth $300 million (approximately 300 billion KRW). This partnership aims to support AI-based industrial transformation for businesses and government agencies across the Middle East and Africa regions.
The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 12 at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, and this is being recognized as one of the most ambitious AI industrial transformation projects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Magna AI has partnerships with Trend Micro and Wistron Digital Technology Holding (WDH), and leverages NVIDIA's next-generation technology. TechnoVal is a SAP Gold Partner and a digital transformation solution specialist in the Middle East region.
Establishing AI Data Centers in Saudi Arabia
One of the core plans of this alliance is to establish AI and cloud data centers in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region. These facilities will support public and private sector workloads and serve as a trusted platform providing cross-border AI computing, data governance, and enterprise-grade performance.
The data centers are designed as 'sovereign-ready' innovation hubs to help governments and organizations adopt AI securely and responsibly. This reflects the demands of Middle Eastern countries that prioritize data sovereignty and security.
Pilot Case for AI Transformation in Manufacturing and Logistics Companies
The two companies are working to transform TechnoVal's parent companies, HSA Group and OMACO Group, into the world's first AI-based industrial benchmarks. These groups operate in over 80 global markets in FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), packaging, logistics, manufacturing, and food processing sectors.
This project aims to enhance efficiency, predictability, and sustainability at scale by integrating intelligence, automation, and predictive optimization across the entire value chain. If successful, it has the potential to become a global standard demonstrating how AI can create tangible value in manufacturing and logistics industries.
Integrating AI into SAP Systems
Magna AI's technology will be integrated into TechnoVal's SAP ecosystem. Solutions such as S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and SAC will have predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and AI copilot capabilities added, enabling companies to modernize operations and achieve higher productivity and performance.
Additionally, TechnoVal's cybersecurity portfolio will be enhanced with Magna AI's SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and cybersecurity digital twin technology. This will enable corporate and government customers to secure proactive defense, predictive threat detection, and measurable resilience.
Historical Context of AI Industrialization
AI investment in the Middle East region has surged dramatically in recent years. The UAE established the world's first Minister of AI position in 2017, and Saudi Arabia has set digital transformation and AI adoption as national top priorities as part of its Vision 2030 plan.
Since 2023, sovereign AI and data center construction have emerged as key strategies for Middle Eastern countries. As concerns about data sovereignty grew, there has been active movement to build indigenous AI infrastructure rather than relying on foreign cloud services.
Entering 2024, global companies such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft have been competing by opening large-scale cloud regions in the Middle East. This alliance between Magna AI and TechnoVal can be seen as an attempt by regional companies to secure leadership by leveraging global technology within this trend.
Plans to Expand into Public and Private Sectors
The two companies plan to expand their initiatives beyond manufacturing into the public sector, finance, energy, healthcare, construction, and smart cities. Through this, they aim to establish a foundation for opening an era of intelligent industrialization across the entire region.
Dr. Moataz BinAli, CEO of Magna AI, stated, "This alliance represents the convergence of global AI capabilities with regional expertise," adding, "We are building the architecture of an AI-powered economy that prioritizes sovereignty, security, and sustainable impact."
Basim Ibrahim Hayel Saeed, Chairman of TechnoVal, said, "Innovation has always been at the core of our growth story," and added, "Through our partnership with Magna AI, we will lead the next generation of industrial evolution and help our customers and parent companies achieve measurable business results through intelligence, automation, and insights."
Future Outlook [AI Analysis]
This alliance is likely to become an important milestone in AI industrialization in the Middle East region. Particularly because it aligns with the policy direction of Middle Eastern countries that emphasize data sovereignty, government support and the regulatory environment are expected to work favorably.
However, how the $300 million investment will actually be executed and whether the AI transformation of HSA and OMACO Groups will establish itself as a successful benchmark are challenges that need to be monitored over the next 2-3 years. If they can prove the practical ROI of AI in manufacturing and logistics sectors, this could rapidly spread to other industries and regions.
Additionally, the attempt to integrate AI into SAP systems has the potential to change the landscape of the existing enterprise software market. Since the SAP ecosystem is used by countless companies worldwide, if this collaboration succeeds, it could establish itself as the standard for AI-integrated solutions in the global ERP market.
