Revolutionary Birthplace Takes Center Stage for 80th National Day

Tuyen Quang Province in Vietnam has entered full preparation mode for the "80th National Day Achievement Exhibition" opening on August 28 at the National Exhibition Center in Hanoi. The exhibition hall, themed "Tuyen Quang - Revolutionary Roots, Steadfast Steps Toward the Future," will serve as a venue to both re-examine the historical significance of this region as a core base of Vietnam's independence movement and showcase its modern development.

Tuyen Quang Province is known as the "liberated zone capital" and "resistance capital" of Vietnam's independence movement, and served as the cradle of revolution where President Ho Chi Minh resided. This exhibition plans to go beyond simple regional promotion and present a multidimensional narrative of the transformation this symbolically important space in modern Vietnamese history has undergone over 80 years.

From Historical Materials to Cutting-Edge Technology: Meticulous Preparation Process

The Tuyen Quang Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as the lead agency for this exhibition, is dedicating all efforts to final preparations. Deputy Director Ma Thị Thao stated, "We reviewed the entire museum collection and selected photographs, films, manuscripts, and artifacts based on historical value and authenticity."

The materials to be included in the exhibition consist of photographs from President Ho Chi Minh's time in Tuyen Quang, images of revolutionaries during the independence struggle, and records documenting major milestones in regional development over the past 80 years. These primary sources will serve as core content that "tells the story" of Tuyen Quang and delivers inspiration to present and future generations.

This year's exhibition is particularly differentiated by its harmony of tradition and modern technology. Utilizing compasses, digital maps, LED screens, 3D models, touchscreens, virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) systems, it provides visitors with an immersive experience. Additionally, multilingual subtitles and audio guides, including Korean, have been prepared to enhance accessibility for international visitors.

Tan Trao Banyan Tree: Witness to History Comes to Exhibition Hall

The exhibition hall design was handled by the Rồng Việt Media Services architectural team, with a focus on maximizing Tuyen Quang's identity. Representative Hoàng Đăng Hùng explained, "The exhibition space must symbolically express historical contributions while capturing the region's unique identity."

The entrance will feature an arch-shaped structure with a 3D recreation of the Mạc Dynasty citadel, a nationally designated cultural property. Traditional lantern models will be installed along both sides of the corridor, and a replica of the Tan Trao banyan tree will be positioned at the center of the exhibition hall.

This tree marks the historic site where on August 16, 1945, General Võ Nguyên Giáp read "Military Order No. 1" and the liberation army held a departure ceremony to march toward Hanoi. This moment, witnessed by 60 national representatives and Tan Trao residents, is remembered as the symbolic starting point of Vietnamese independence.

From Resistance Capital to Sustainable Development Model

The exhibition illuminates not only Tuyen Quang's past but also its present and future vision. It includes sections showing how modern Tuyen Quang is building a sustainable development model based on its historical legacy from the liberated zone era.

As one of the provincial exhibitions gathered from across Vietnam, Tuyen Quang Province will take center stage at this national event, simultaneously revealing "the light of history and the vitality of modernity." Final inspections are in full swing on-site ahead of the August 28 opening.
