Fan ideas turned into actual menus

Burger King is introducing a new seasonal menu as part of the 'Whopper by You' campaign, which turns ideas suggested by customers into actual menus. According to related reports, Burger King plans to launch the 'Peppercorn BLT Whopper' across the United States starting March 30th.

This new menu consists of a quarter pound (approximately 113g) grilled beef patty topped with peppercorn mayonnaise, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cheese, placed between a toasted sesame seed bun. It is characterized by adding the tangy flavor of pepper to the classic BLT sandwich while maintaining the original identity of the Whopper.

Extension of fan engagement marketing strategy

Burger King's fan participation menu development has been continuously expanding recently. Before the launch of the Peppercorn BLT Whopper, the 'Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper', 'Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper', and last year's 'BBQ Brisket' and 'Crispy Onion' variations were released through the same campaign.

The company said the Peppercorn BLT Whopper reflects consumer demand for a bold flavor profile that adds a little spice to familiar menu items. In addition, Watermelon Lemonade is also being relaunched for a limited time only for the season. This drink, which combines the sweet watermelon flavor and refreshing lemonade, is offered as part of the spring season lineup.

Burger King also launched the 'Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper' based on fan ideas in January of this year, continuing its menu innovation strategy through customer participation.
