Diverse Weekend Programs
Jakarta's Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) has announced five events for citizens and tourists during the last weekend of November. Various programs ranging from traditional cultural experiences to family shopping and live performances will take place throughout the city.
Don't Play Play Gen Z Festival will be held for two days, November 29-30, at the eastern parking lot of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK). This music festival targeting the younger generation features performances by popular Indonesian musicians.
Expos for Wedding and Childcare Enthusiasts
Jakarta Wedding & Holiday 2025 will run from 10 AM to 9 PM with free admission at the basement of Grand ITC Permata Hijau. The event provides various information and consultation opportunities for visitors planning weddings or travel.
For families with children, the Indonesia Maternity Baby and Kids Expo (IMBEX) at Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) is attracting attention. Major baby and children's product brands will participate, offering a one-stop opportunity to discover childcare essentials.
Traditional Culture and Arts Experience
Parade Tari Nusantara is a traditional dance event starting at 9 AM at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). This annual performance offers free admission but requires advance registration through tiket.tamanmini.com.
The most eye-catching program is The Red Shades of the Alhambra exhibition. Running for about two months from November 11 to January 10 next year at the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics (Museum Seni Rupa Keramik), it showcases works recreating the architectural beauty and artistry of Spain's Alhambra Palace.
Weekend Culture Created by Diversity
These programs are praised for being meticulously planned by generation and interest. They compose a broad spectrum from music festivals for the younger generation to traditional cultural events for family visitors and practical lifestyle expos.
A Jakarta Tourism Agency official stated that they regularly plan diverse events so citizens can spend their weekends meaningfully. A notable feature is the high accessibility, as most programs are free or accessible with just museum admission fees.
