NASA Shared Service Center Service System

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)'s Shared Services Center (NSSC) has released service level agreement (SLA) information along with the fiscal year 2025 service catalog. This catalog includes detailed descriptions, chargeback rates, units of measurement, and service level indicators for each service.

NSSC's Service Level Agreement applies to all NASA centers and contains information on roles and responsibilities, rates, and service level metrics. The agreement is renegotiated each fiscal year and is jointly signed by the Deputy Administrator, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Office of Inspector General.

Service provision area

The services provided by NSSC to each NASA center and headquarters operation cover the following areas:

• Financial Management: Budget execution and accounting processing
• Procurement: Purchasing and contract management
• Human Resources: Overall human resource management
• Information Technology (IT): System operation and technical support
• Institutional Business Services: Other administrative support tasks

Change in usage report system

As a notable change, online course management and training purchases have been reorganized from the existing structure into the 'OLC & Training Purchases' section. This is a measure in accordance with the education budget adjustment. In addition, special projects by center were integrated into one special project bill, and the funding center was specified for each project.

Currently, the fiscal year 2026 usage report is provided monthly from October 2025 to February 2026, and the fiscal year 2025 report is available for the entire period from October 2024 to September 2025.
