Kyushu Soccer League Season Finale Begins
The 2025 Kyushu Soccer League season will hold its final matches over two days on the 6th and 7th at the Fukuoka Football Center in Fukuoka City. This finale will be held in a centralized format, with J-Lease FC challenging for their first Kyushu League championship since their founding.
The Kyushu League is one of Japan's regional football leagues, where top teams earn opportunities to advance to the National Regional Champions League. J-Lease FC, based in Oita Prefecture, has achieved excellent results this season and entered championship contention.
Team's Determination and Preparation
Ahead of the final matches, J-Lease FC expressed their determination to "give everything they have (全て出し切る)". The team aims to fully demonstrate the skills they have built up throughout the season and lift the championship trophy.
J-Lease FC already secured promotion to the JFL by winning the National Regional Champions League in November 2025. This JFL advancement, achieved just 8 years after founding, marked a historic milestone in Oita regional football history.
Journey from Kyushu League to JFL
J-Lease FC won the National Regional Champions League final round last year by defeating Ichihara FC. Subsequently, they paid a courtesy visit to the Oita City Mayor to pledge their commitment to performing well in their first JFL season, and on March 2nd, they held a kickoff ceremony in Oita City, expressing their determination to "fight decisively from the opening match."
Currently, J-Lease FC is also participating in the JFL Cup tournament. In the JFL Cup that opened on March 20th, the team has an upcoming match against Viatин Mie on the 22nd.
The Kyushu League championship would be another title following JFL promotion, representing a symbolic achievement demonstrating the team's upward trajectory. The final match results will determine whether J-Lease FC achieves complete success in the 2025 season.
