He unveiled detailed plans for the Games alongside Vice Chairpersons Felipe Vicini, Mercedes Canalda, Carlos Iglesias, and Frank Elías Rainieri.

Significance of the Centennial Edition

Luis Mejía Oviedo, a Dominican national serving as President of Centro Caribe Sports (Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization), explained that this edition holds special significance as it coincides with the Games' 100th anniversary.

"The Dominican Republic has perfectly adhered to the schedule so far, and I am confident we will successfully host this centennial celebration," Mejía stated.

The Games are expected to attract thousands of athletes, coaches, officials, and fans from the Central American and Caribbean region. This is anticipated to have a direct impact on the Dominican Republic's hotel occupancy rates and overall economy.

"The Ministry of Tourism has decided to develop sports as a complementary tourism product for the Dominican Republic," Minister Collado explained. "We are using this regional event as an opportunity to promote the Dominican Republic as a safe and diverse tourist destination."
