Australia's National Star Finds New Life in America
Robert Irwin (21), Australia's prominent wildlife conservationist and son of the late Steve Irwin, has fully adapted to Los Angeles life following his appearance on Dancing With The Stars (DWTS), making his return to Australia increasingly uncertain.
Joining DWTS in September, Robert became an instant star, capturing American viewers' hearts from his first performance. However, an unexpected development has unfolded. He has completely immersed himself in LA's celebrity social scene and reportedly has no plans to return to Australia anytime soon.
Family Concerns and Support
A source close to the Irwin family told RadarOnline that the family is bewildered by Robert's rapid transformation. The fame gained from DWTS has introduced Robert to a Hollywood lifestyle. With invitations to celebrity events and various gift offerings pouring in, speculation is growing about the possibility of him settling in America.
"The family is in panic mode," the source revealed. "He's completely under Hollywood's spell right now, and naturally so given all the perks he's receiving. His mother and sister can't help but worry about how this will affect him."
Bindi Irwin, the 2015 DWTS champion, recently relocated to LA with her daughter Grace. While officially to help with Robert's publicity activities, it's analyzed to be part of an effort to bring her brother back to Australia.
Mother Terri Irwin, along with Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell (29), have frequently appeared in Robert's dressing room throughout the season, serving as a strong support system.
Final Journey with Partner
On Thursday night, Robert shared final rehearsal footage on Instagram with his DWTS partner Whitney Carson (32). The pair exchanged constant high-fives, appearing cheerful, and encouraged fans to vote.
"This is what we're like when we try to film a video," Robert joked. "But seriously, this experience means the world to us. Now it's time to give it our all one last time."
He added that the final performance would be "a celebration of this journey and gratitude to the fans who have supported us." "Thank you so much for keeping us here with your votes every week. It's going to be a special week. See you at the finale!"
Fans flooded the comments with support: "My winners! Robert deserves the world and Whitney deserves another win," and "You two are like siblings!"
Tribute to Father
Robert has honored his late father Steve Irwin on the DWTS stage. Just as sister Bindi dedicated a song to their father during her appearance, Robert dedicated his foxtrot performance to him.
Earlier this year, Robert shared a touching moment from a June flight. While checking the in-flight entertainment system, he discovered the first recommended movie was his father's adventure comedy film 'The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course.'
Season 34's finale airs next week, when the winner will be announced. Whether Robert will return to Australia with the trophy or open a new chapter in LA remains to be seen.
