Champion's Homecoming
On the 29th, Ryotaro Taguchi (Maizuru High School graduate, Team REC), who swept both singles and doubles titles at the All-Japan Tennis Championships in October, held a tennis clinic at Clasath Court in his hometown of Oita City, Japan.
The clinic was attended by Masakatsu Noguchi (ONE DROP), who won the doubles championship alongside Taguchi. The two professional players demonstrated and coached participants on stroke techniques and body mechanics.
Giving Back to the Community
Taguchi, a graduate of Maizuru High School in Oita Prefecture, used this clinic as an opportunity to pass on elite-level skills to hometown juniors and local tennis enthusiasts.
The All-Japan Championships is Japan's most prestigious domestic tennis tournament, and Taguchi's achievement in sweeping both singles and doubles brought great pride to the local sports community. This clinic served as a way to share those achievements with the community.
Oita's Growing Sports Presence
