Special Exhibition Held at Kuwait National Museum

The exhibition was hosted by Adel Al-Momin, Acting Dean of the College of Architecture, and was attended by Stuart Summers, British Deputy Ambassador, and Bashar Al-Salem.
The exhibition featured projects from students who completed courses in Commercial Design Studio 5 and Human Factors Design. All works were completed under the supervision of Dr. Reem Dashti.
Human-Centered Design Philosophy
The exhibited works were not merely academic assignments, but results combining scholarly research with practical application. Students pursued a balance between functional aspects and sensory experiences, adopting an approach that places humans at the center of the design process.
Particular emphasis was placed on highlighting Kuwait's architectural identity and cultural context. Each project was designed with the goal of enhancing spatial quality and improving user experience.
Furniture Design with Contemporary Reinterpretation
The exhibition also included furniture design works inspired by local architecture and culture. Students created pieces with artistic visions that combined tradition and modernity.
These furniture pieces reflect a deep understanding of human factors and contribute to improving the quality of interior spaces while enhancing functional and sensory comfort. The designs, which contemporarily reinterpret traditional elements, were recognized as examples demonstrating the continuity of Kuwaiti architectural culture.
