Confirmed tour of 5 cities in South America in October
BTS will visit South America in October. On the 28th, the group officially announced the schedule for 'World Tour ARIRANG in Latin America' through the global fan community Weverse.
The tour will begin with a performance in Bogotá, Colombia on October 2-3, and will tour five South American cities for about a month, including Lima, Peru (9-10), Santiago, Chile (16-17), Buenos Aires, Argentina (23-24), and Sao Paulo, Brazil (28, 30-31). In particular, since this is the first time that the entire group has performed on stage in Colombia, Peru, and Argentina, expectations from local fans are high.
All tickets for the 46th performance sold out, reaffirming global ticket power
BTS' world tour 'Arirang' has been receiving an explosive response immediately after its announcement. A total of 46 performances were sold out, including the performance at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province on April 9th, the Tokyo Dome in Japan on April 17th and 18th, and the subsequent North American and European tour. This is a result that directly reflects the global fandom's desire for a full-length comeback after all members have completed their military service.
South America is considered one of the regions with the most passionate K-pop fandom. The industry's attention is focused on the scale of field excitement that will unfold in countries where BTS visits for the first time as a group.
5th full-length album ‘Arirang’ dominates the UK charts
The album performance also supports the enthusiasm for the tour. BTS' 5th full-length album 'ARIRANG', released on the 20th, entered the UK's official chart 'Official Album Top 100' (counting period March 27 - April 3) at number one. The title song 'Swim' also ranked 2nd in the 'Official Single Top 100' and achieved the success of dominating both the album and single charts at the same time.
Topping the UK charts is still considered a high barrier for non-English speaking artists. The fact that BTS achieved this record at the same time as their comeback is an indicator that the cohesiveness of the global fandom ‘ARMY’ remains strong despite a gap of about two years.
