Trot stars’ exciting blind date scene
KBS2's 'Men Who Do Housework' revealed blind dates for solo trot singers as a large spring project. In the broadcast on the 28th, popular trot stars such as Park Seo-jin, Ahn Seong-hoon, Choo Hyuk-jin, Hong Ji-yoon, Yoyomi, and Hyo-jung gathered together and started to 'find a partner'.
The broadcast on this day recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 6.0% according to Nielsen Korea, and the scene where Takuya's biological father shows his son's childhood photos achieved the highest rating of 7.6%.
Park Seo-jin's 'zero vote humiliation'
Park Seo-jin, who has been single for 32 years, expressed her serious determination before going on a blind date, saying, "I want to find someone to spend all my first moments with." However, he suffered the humiliation of not receiving a single vote in the first impression voting and becoming the main character of 'Jjajangmyeon Mukbang Alone'.
The twisted situation of Park Seo-jin, who was worried about losing votes before voting, brought laughter. He formed a love triangle between Hong Ji-yoon and Yo-yomi, but they both chose Ahn Seong-hoon. Yoyomi revealed her direct interest in Ahn Seong-hoon by saying, "Because I like him," and Hong Ji-yoon also predicted a subtle war of nerves, saying, "I never thought I would compete with Yomi because of Seong-hoon."
Hyo-jeong chose Choo Hyuk-jin and ignored her older brother, Park Seo-jin. Choo Hyuk-jin showed an active attitude by mentioning his family's butchery business and appealing by saying, "I can feed you meat until you get sick of it."
So, confession of changed family relationship after discharge
Singer Gree, who appeared as a special guest, attracted attention with an anecdote with his father, Kim Gura. He made people laugh by saying, “When I told my father that I was going to appear on ‘Housekeeper,’ he asked me if I was going to appear on VCR. He said he would help me,” and added, “Maybe because he used me a lot in the past, he volunteered to tell me.”
In addition, Gree confessed about his stepmother, "I changed my title to 'Mom' from the day I was discharged from the military. Until then, I called her 'Sister'," and "Once I gained a little courage, the family became harmonious." He also reported that he went on a family trip to Disneyland in Japan with his father, stepmother, and younger brother.
Takuya, tearful reunion with his biological father after 25 years
The most touching moment in the broadcast was Takuya's journey to find his family. Takuya, whose longing for his biological father grew after meeting his mother last month, headed to Hokkaido, Japan, saying, "My father is 71 years old, and I want to know if he is alive or dead."
Using only a photo and his father's name, age, and hometown information as clues, he finally found his father's residence in Tokyo. However, it was a newspaper delivery company dormitory building. Takuya expressed his mixed feelings, saying, "The house didn't look good. In Korean terms, it felt like a gosiwon. I'm worried about whether you're okay."
The father finally appeared and recognized his son as soon as he saw him. “I’m sorry,” said the father, who couldn’t raise his head and shed tears, pouring out 25 years of regret, saying, “I hoped you would find me someday.” The father, who still remembered his children's birthdays, kept a photo taken with the Takuya siblings when they were children.
The father gave his son a small allowance and gave him a deep hug as he left after a short meeting. Takuya burst into tears that he had been holding back since they broke up and said, "What I wanted to show my biological father when I met him was, 'I have grown up like this.'"
In next week's broadcast, a 'catfish man' is scheduled to appear in the blind date project, stimulating viewers' curiosity.
