Achieved 10,000 won audience for the opening game for 4 consecutive years
SSG Landers sold out all 23,000 seats in the opening game of the 2026 season against KIA Tigers held at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 28th. The club announced that all tickets had been sold as of 10 a.m., the deadline for reservation cancellation.
As a result, SSG once again proved the huge popularity of baseball in the Incheon region by setting a record of 10,000 won spectators for the opening game for four consecutive years starting in 2023.
The team with the highest attendance record of all time
Last season, SSG became the first Incheon-based club to exceed 1 million spectators for three consecutive years, and set the club's all-time record with a final cumulative attendance of 1,281,093. With this season's opening game sold out, expectations are rising that the box office hit will continue.
Promoting ‘fan experience innovation’ this season
SSG will fully expand home game events in the 2026 season with ‘fan experience innovation’ as its core value. The fireworks display, which was previously held only on Saturdays, will be expanded to include home games every other Wednesday, and the 'Frontier Square Night Market' will be held regularly on Fridays and Saturdays to present complex cultural events.
Additionally, starting this season, the team plans to send cheering squads to all away games to continue the Landers' unique cheering culture at any stadium across the country.
Meanwhile, Chef Son Jong-won, head chef of Shinsegae Group, threw the first pitch before the opening game and wished the team victory.
