UN launches Middle East crisis response task force
The United Nations has launched an emergency task force to respond to the deepening humanitarian crisis across the Middle East. According to UN officials, this measure is intended to meet the rapidly increasing demand for relief in the region, and each UN agency will cooperate to carry out relief activities.
As war continues in the Middle East, civilian casualties due to attacks are increasing. The United Nations said local conditions were creating “enormous demand.”
Iranian school attack kills more than 100 children
At the UN Human Rights Council held in Geneva, the school attack incident that occurred in the Minab region of Iran was discussed. More than 100 children are reported to have died in the attack. Diplomats from each country are discussing the seriousness of this incident and seeking ways to respond.
UN agencies are currently continuing relief efforts throughout the Middle East and are considering expanding additional support.
