Wonpil Sets New Solo Sales Record on Comeback

DAY6 member Wonpil has made a thunderous return to the solo stage, breaking his own personal sales record by a wide margin. His first mini album Unpiltered, released on March 30, sold over 60,000 copies on its very first day — already surpassing his previous first-week record of 32,167 copies set by his solo debut album Pilmography in 2022.

Hanteo Chart Reports 142,651 Copies in Week One

According to official Hanteo Chart data, Unpiltered sold a total of 142,651 copies during its first week of release (March 30 – April 5). This figure more than quadruples Wonpil's previous personal best, representing one of the most dramatic week-one growth figures seen among K-pop solo acts in recent years.

Industry observers note that Wonpil has steadily cultivated his solo fanbase alongside DAY6's group activities, and this comeback appears to reflect that sustained effort in a concrete, measurable way.

From Band Member to Solo Force

Wonpil serves as the keyboardist and vocalist for JYP Entertainment's band DAY6. Since launching his solo career with Pilmography in 2022, he has worked to establish a distinct musical identity outside the group. Unpiltered, arriving roughly four years later, marks a significant leap both artistically and commercially.

Beyond music, Wonpil has also been expanding his profile as an actor, currently appearing in the drama Best Mistake 3.
