Uniqlo opens a series of large stores in key commercial districts in the metropolitan area

Global fashion brand Uniqlo has begun targeting customers in new cities in the metropolitan area. Following the opening of the new 'Uniqlo Starfield Village Unjeong Branch' on March 27, it was announced that the 'Uniqlo Starfield Hanam Branch' would be renewed and opened on April 3.

The Unjeong branch, located in Unjeong City, Paju, is 317 pyeong (1,047㎡) in size and boasts the largest area among fashion brands in Starfield Village Unjeong. Accessibility is excellent as it is adjacent to the 'Central Pod', a duplex-type library consisting of approximately 36,000 books, and the open store entrance of 36m across maximizes the sense of openness. It offers a full range of products for women, men, kids, and babies, and operates 7 checkout counters and 12 fitting rooms.

Starfield Hanam branch is undergoing a major renewal for the first time in about 10 years since it first opened in 2016. The store size was expanded from 249 pyeong to 335 pyeong (1,107 m2), fitting rooms were increased from 7 to 18, and checkout counters were increased from 6 to 12, including self-checkout counters.

Enhanced customer convenience and differentiated store environment

The Hanam branch created a lively atmosphere by applying the Uniqlo logo LED cube signage to the front of the store. Large digital screens are installed on store pillars to intuitively deliver product information and fashion content. In particular, we significantly expanded our kids and baby product range to target family customers.

Uniqlo also carried out community service activities prior to the store opening. Unjeong branch employees participated in a lunch service for 300 seniors at the Paju City Unjeong Social Welfare Center in February, and Hanam branch employees visited the Hanam City Welfare Center for the Disabled twice in February and March to volunteer for a rehabilitation exercise program.

To commemorate the opening, both stores will hold an exclusive promotion for 4 days, and customers who purchase more than 100,000 won will receive a 'Uniqlo picnic mat' on a first-come, first-served basis.
