Xbox Series X|S Release Officially Confirmed

Roguelite survivor title Warhammer Survivors is officially coming to Xbox Series X|S later this year. The developer announced the console version via Xbox Wire, simultaneously revealing gameplay details for one of the game's major enemy factions: the Orks.

Two Universes, One Relentless Horde

Warhammer Survivors tasks players with selecting iconic Warhammer champions and surviving endless enemy waves drawn from both the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar universes. The dual-universe design is a notable differentiator in a genre crowded with Vampire Survivors successors, giving the game immediate appeal to established Warhammer fans alongside genre enthusiasts.

The Ork Menace: Pure, Purposeless Violence

The Orks of the 41st Millennium are defined by one thing: the love of a good fight. They hold no territory, pursue no strategy—they exist purely for the chaos of combat, a trait that maps naturally onto the survivor genre's endless-wave structure.

Two Ork unit types have been revealed: the brutish close-combat Ork Boyz and the cowardly yet vicious small creatures known as Grots. The developer pointedly refused to classify any Ork as a specialist, noting that every single one shares the same singular drive to "krump you into the dust."

Warhammer IP Meets a Booming Genre

Games Workshop's aggressive licensing strategy has produced dozens of Warhammer video games across every genre. Combining that IP with the survivor genre's accessible, high-replayability loop positions Warhammer Survivors to capture both communities. Additional champions, enemy factions, release date, and pricing details are expected in future announcements.
