A 753㎡ residential building completed in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the culmination of collaboration and design philosophy.

- •Argentine architect Luciano Crook completed 'Paula's House', a 753㎡ residential building in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
- •This work reflects Crook’s architectural philosophy of pursuing a connection with nature using exposed concrete.
- •This project, completed through close collaboration between the design team and construction company, is attracting attention as a new example of Brazilian modern residential architecture.
Breaking down the boundaries between nature and architecture
Casa Paula, located in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is attracting attention in the architectural world. Designed by Argentine architect Luciano Kruk, this residential space measures 753 m2 and was completed in 2019.
According to related architectural media reports, this project was born at the point where three core values converge. These are a connection to nature, respect for design, and a willingness to collaborate as a team.
A space created by a master of exposed concrete
Luciano Crook is an architect who has gained international fame for his residential architecture using exposed concrete. His work is evaluated as creating a warm dialogue with nature through concrete, a cold material.
Paula's house also fully embodies Crook's architectural language. Sol Álvarez and Melanie Chismechian participated as the design team, and Constructora Epson took charge of construction to improve the level of completion.
New coordinates of modern residential architecture in Brazil
Sao Paulo is South America's largest metropolis and a testing ground for modern architecture. In this city where Oscar Niemeyer's legacy lives on, Crook's work presents another possibility for Brazilian contemporary residential architecture.
Paula's house does not lose sight of nature even in the city. The building's layout and opening design breathe organically with the surrounding environment, providing residents with a natural experience in their daily lives.
