Seoul City-Seoul Tourism Foundation announces results of excellent tourism product contest

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Foundation finally selected 9 excellent tourism products and 1 Seoul-Yeosu linked product through the '2026 Seoul Excellent Tourism Product Contest'. This selection is interpreted as a strategic move to respond to the increasing demand for global individual tourists (FIT) and strengthen the competitiveness of Seoul tourism.

The selected excellent tourism product operators are nine companies, including Good Mate Travel, Mindfulness Travel, Unique Tour, US Travel, Jeongho Travel Agency, Cosmojin Travel Agency, Premium Pass International, PLK Travel, and Handy Tour. In particular, Handy Tours was simultaneously selected as the operator of the Seoul-Yeosu link product, taking on a leading role in the inter-regional tourism linkage model.

2 years of certification and support benefits

Selected operators will receive a Seoul City Excellent Tourism Product Certificate valid for two years. In addition, practical support benefits are provided, such as the opportunity to participate in global online travel agency (OTA) promotions, marketing support, and customer attraction incentives of up to 10 million won.

Additionally, as a member of the 'Seoul Excellent Tourism Product Alliance', you will have the opportunity to interact with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Seoul Tourism Foundation, and the domestic and international tourism industry. On the 26th, the city of Seoul held the 'Seoul Excellent Tourism Product Operator Alliance Launching Ceremony' to officially launch a systematic cooperation system.

Kim Myeong-joo, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Tourism and Sports Bureau, said, "We will continue to discover differentiated tourism products tailored to the needs of global individual tourists and reflect the latest tourism trends to strengthen the competitiveness of Seoul tourism." Gil Ki-yeon, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Foundation, also emphasized, “We will actively support excellent tourism products so that they can establish themselves as competitive products in the actual market.”

This selection as an excellent tourism product is evaluated as a strategic move by Seoul City to expand Seoul's unique tourism content in line with the global travel trend of shifting from group tourism to individual tourism.
