A Mother-Daughter Rift Leads to an Unexpected Cohabitation
JTBC's romantic comedy 'The Practical Guide to Love' is raising the stakes with a dramatic turn: after a falling-out with her mother Park Jeong Im (Kim Jung Young), lead character Lee Ui Yeong (Han Ji Min) moves into the home of her boyfriend Song Tae Seop (Park Sung Hoon).
Newly released stills from the upcoming episode show Lee Ui Yeong completely at ease in Song Tae Seop's apartment — lounging in pajamas and sharing a home-cooked meal together — a vivid picture of a relationship that has quietly but decisively leveled up.
A Cliffhanger That Shook the Dinner Table
The previous episode left viewers reeling when Lee Ui Yeong's long-estranged father made a surprise appearance at the very dinner where she had planned to formally introduce Song Tae Seop to her mother. The fallout from that uncomfortable gathering appears to be the catalyst for the mother-daughter conflict now driving the story forward.
Song Tae Seop's Two-Front Strategy
While serving as a steadfast partner for Lee Ui Yeong at home, Song Tae Seop also pays an unannounced visit to Park Jeong Im. Though caught off guard, the mother can't hide her delight at seeing him — and Song Tae Seop seals the deal by gallantly carrying her recycling, cementing his status as prime son-in-law material.
Whether he can successfully mediate between the two women remains to be seen.
