Eyes That Say Everything

SBS weekend drama Phantom Lawyer has released preview stills for its eighth episode, teasing an emotionally charged encounter between the two leads. At an amusement park, Shin I Rang (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Han Na Hyun (Esom) lock eyes in a moment that sees the typically cool-headed Han Na Hyun visibly overcome with emotion.

The series follows Shin I Rang, a lawyer with the ability to see ghosts, and elite attorney Han Na Hyun as they help their spectral clients find legal resolution for their earthly grievances.

A Ghost Who Already Remembers

In the previous episode, Han Na Hyun persuaded Shin I Rang to embrace his ghost-seeing abilities once more. The episode closed with a jolt: the ghost of Han Na Hyun's older sister, Han So Hyun (Hwang Bo Reum Byeol), appeared in Shin I Rang's office — and he recognized her immediately from a photo he had seen in Han Na Hyun's home.

What makes her arrival unusual is a key detail in the drama's internal logic: ghosts typically float in midair after losing all memories of their lives and only regain their footing once they recall their name and birth date. Han So Hyun, however, appeared with her feet already on the ground — suggesting she may remember everything about her death from the very start.

A Turning Point for Two Wounded Souls

The production team stated, "In Episode 8, Shin I Rang will venture deep into the family tragedy at the core of Han Na Hyun's pain." They added, "What is the first message that Han So Hyun — who arrived with feet on the ground — will deliver? And what kind of turning point awaits Shin I Rang and Han Na Hyun, who have begun to heal each other's wounds?"

Whether the amusement park scene marks the beginning of a real romance or an emotionally loaded moment brought on by Han So Hyun's presence will be revealed in Episode 8, airing April 4 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
