This week’s ascension challenge is ‘Agonarch Abyss’

This week's Ascendant Challenge in Bungie's online shooting game Destiny 2, taking place from March 24th to 31st, has been confirmed to be 'Agonarch Abyss'.

Ascension Challenge is a weekly content linked to Dreaming City's complex curse system. Dreaming City is trapped in a three-week time loop, and the strength of the curse cycles in the order of 'weakest - strongest - strongest'. A total of six Ascension Challenges are rotated weekly, and are known as a surefire way to obtain Dreaming City equipment.

How to enter the Agonarch Abyss

The entrance to this week's Ascension Challenge is located inside the 'Bay of Drowned Wishes Lost Sector' in the Divalian Mist region. To enter the Ascension Challenge, you must first use the 'Tincture of Queensfoil'.

Queen Leaf Tincture can be purchased from NPC Petra Benji or obtained from Dreaming City boxes. Using this item will apply a buff that allows you to see the hidden secrets of Dreaming City for 30 minutes.

After using the tincture, enter the Drowned Man's Bay Lost Sector right next to the landing site. After proceeding through the Lost Sector as usual and defeating the enemies in the first area, a Taken Portal will appear on the right in front of the barrier leading to the boss room.

Key points of strategy

Once you enter the Ascendant Plane, you must follow Toland's light down to the Arena. Afterwards, the challenge is completed by killing the two Taken wizards and eliminating the Blight that appears periodically.

Blight can reduce movement speed, so caution is required. By completing the Ascension Challenge, you can obtain one piece of legendary equipment per character, and if you have Petra Venji's weekly bounty, you can also receive additional rewards.

Tips for acquiring Dreaming City equipment

Dreaming City equipment has been revamped once again in ‘Season of the Wish’. Contains reissued weapons such as Waking Vigil, Tigerspite, and Twilight Oath.

In particular, Waking Vigil with the Voltshot perk is still evaluated as performing well. Blind Well is a good route to obtain reissue gear, and during the weeks when the curse is strongest, you can also make an oracle sacrifice in Mara Sov's throne room.
