Black Ops 7 Endgame, free play begins for a limited time

‘Endgame’, the PvE mode of Call of Duty Black Ops 7, will be opened for free in Season 3. According to related reports, starting April 2, players who have not purchased the main game will be able to experience the mode.

Endgame is a cooperative PvE mode set in the fictional region 'Avalon'. The player's goal is to increase the operator's Combat Rating by performing missions. Originally, it was a content that could be unlocked only after completing the Black Ops 7 campaign, but this free release has significantly lowered the barrier to entry.

Accessed through Warzone, no separate installation required

During the free play period, endgame will be available through the Warzone client. Therefore, you can play Black Ops 7 without installing the main game. However, the campaign mode is not included, and only the endgame mode is open.

Players who do not own the game begin playing by choosing from four operators: Mason, Anderson, 50/50, and Samuels.

Combat rating system and penalty mitigation

The core of the endgame is growth through increasing combat rank. As you complete missions throughout Avalon, your battle rating increases, and new abilities can be unlocked through the Skill Track system.

What is noteworthy is that the penalty was greatly relaxed in Season 3. Previously, if you failed to escape, your combat rating would be reset to 0, but now only a maximum of 15 points will be deducted. This change reduces the burden of failure, making it easier to take on challenges.
