Valve releases regular updates for TF2

Valve has released a new update to Team Fortress 2. This patch is automatically applied when the game restarts, and includes map optimization and numerous bug fixes.

Major changes

In this update, the console warning issue with the Team Recognition Unusual effect has been resolved. The backpack image for The Fists of Steel weapon has been modified to the RED team version, and the backpack images for the Festivized version of The Killing Gloves of Boxing, The Gloves of Running Urgently, The Apoco-Fists, and The Fists of Steel have also been updated.

Improvements for each map

In 2koth_abbey, a bug that allowed engineers to build structures in the rafters of the respawn room has been fixed.

cppl_gavle has undergone extensive optimization work. Performance has been significantly improved, especially around the first point, and a number of visual artifacts and clipping issues have been resolved.

In pd_nutcracker, the map exit exploit at the BLU spawn point was blocked. RED spawn external clipping has been adjusted, and alignment errors in the BLU Lounge have been fixed. A nobuild area has been added to both central routes, stairs in the pipe room have been removed, and clipping has been adjusted. The issue of Nutcracker's audio being cut off at the start of a round has also been resolved.

Meaning of TF2 continuous updates

Team Fortress 2, released in 2007, continues to receive updates even after 18 years. Valve is extending the life of the game by officially supporting community-created maps, and this patch also focuses on improving the quality of community maps. The secret to the longevity of TF2, which maintains an active player base even after switching to free-to-play, lies in this continuous management.
